Writing Center Hours:

             310 Philosophy:  Monday-Thursday:  9-8; Friday: 9-5

             303a Butler Library:  Monday-Thursday, 9-8; Friday, 9-5;

                                                Sunday, 12-8

Scheduled hours at the Writing Center end at 4pm, on Friday, December 14.  A limited number of drop-in hours will be available Monday, 12/17 through Thursday, 12/20.  Please check the schedule for those hours before coming in.   The schedule will be posted at end of day, 12/14.  The Writing Center will be closed for the Winter Break from 12/21/18 through 1/21/19.  It re-opens on January 22.

To register for workshops:  login to Fall 2018 schedule and click on the semester menu at the top, where you will see "Fall 2018 schedule."  Scroll to "Fall 2018 Workshops" and click on it.  The sign-up for the workshops will appear. 

Workshops allow for multiple-person sign-ups. You can sign up even if the box is red. The system will allow you to register for a workshop until the cap, listed in small print in the title box, is reached.

Information on appointments

--Unless otherwise specified in the column showing the consultant's name, all appointments are held in 310 Philosophy.

--Reservations for Writing Center appointments open up one day at a time five days in advance at, or soon after, midnight..

--Reservations can be made only by clicking on white boxes. If there are no white boxes on the day you are looking at, that means no scheduled appointments remain. You can then click on the clock icon at the top left of each day's schedule to get on the wait-list, or come by for a drop-in appointment. 

--Please note that the Writing Center week is Monday - Sunday during the fall and spring semesters.  During the summer it is open Monday - Thursday.

--As of 9/14/2018 we are no longer scheduling 6-week standing appointments. We will resume scheduling them in the first week of spring 2019 term.

Drop-in Appointments

--Writing Center drop-in consultants are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so there may be a wait to see a consultant if other students have arrived before you. The last drop-in appointment of the day begins approximately one hour before closing. 

--All drop-in hours are held in 310 Philosophy.

--You are permitted to have one appointment and one drop-in visit or two drop-in visits each week. The appointments must be on separate days. A second appointment in one week will always be a drop-in.
